emails that Sing

I'm Rebecca. Before this, I spent years teaching tech confidently to everyone from total beginners to blind and partially sighted clients, so patient, plain-English teaching isn't new to me. I'm also a choir leader myself, which means I get exactly why WordPress, Canva and mailing lists keep slipping down your to-do list. Keep reading to see how the Circle — including a monthly call with me — can take away that nagging tech headache.

You didn't start leading a choir because you wanted to become a WordPress expert.

Everything is built specifically for choir and song leaders — so you're never the only one asking, and never made to feel silly for not knowing.

Facebook Jargon, an Introduction
Every choir is different, and it's completely normal to have questions the courses don't quite answer. The monthly Circle Time with Rebecca session is your chance to ask about your exact situation — alongside other leaders who get it — and get a straight, jargon-free answer. If enough people are asking the same thing, it often becomes the next Self-study Guide.

Both. The Circle is a genuine community of choir and song leaders you can ask questions and share with, and the courses are there whenever you want to work through something at your own pace. Most people use a mix of both.
Yes. Everything is explained in plain English, one step at a time, with no assumed knowledge. If you can send an email, you can follow these courses — and you'll have the Circle and Circle Time to lean on if you get stuck.

Generally, they will alternate between an afternoon and an evening. Everybody has a different pattern to their working week, so it may take a while for a pattern to emerge. The video calls will be recorded, so if you can't make a particular one, you can always watch the replay.
This membership is built specifically with choir and song leaders in mind, so the examples, courses and community conversations are tailored to that world. But it will work for anyone who feels a bit daunted by the tech and would like a bit of company and hand-holding.
For many years, I was a Technical Trainer specialising in teaching computer skills to blind and partially sighted people. It brought together two of my favourite things: technology (I'm a self-confessed gadget geek) and helping people do things they didn't think they could. I still work with visually impaired clients today, and it's some of the work I'm proudest of.
That experience taught me something that matters here too: anyone can learn to use tech confidently, if it's explained patiently, one small step at a time, with no assumptions about what you already know. That's exactly how I teach choir leaders — no jargon, no judgment, no "well, obviously you just..."
Music has always been a big part of my life, and leading singers myself has given me health, community, and (let's be honest) an excuse for even more musical geekery. So when I talk to you about your website, your mailing list, or your Canva posters, I'm not an outsider looking in — I'm one of you, who happens to also love the tech side.
The pandemic showed me how much technology could do for online business owners, and singing leaders in particular — and also how easily it can get in the way of you doing what you do best: leading your choir. That's why I built the Circle: so you get exactly the tech help you need, from someone who understands both the tech and the choir, without ever feeling silly for asking.
